You should follow these procedures if you are a member of a band who wants to book a show, a member of a band who wants to get added to an existing show, a booking agent looking to book a band, an artist/poet/playwright/producer who would like to have a show at the Ché.
If you are in a band that is sexist, racist, or homophobic, we don't want to book your band. Please don't ask. If you are an outside promoter who wants to book a show, sorry, we only do our booking internally.
We book 1-2 MONTHS IN ADVANCE, so please send us your demo & such before that.
Fill out and submit the Booking Form so that your info will get carefully chauffeured to the appropriate collective member, and so that you can get a speedy response from us. You will then recieve an automatic response, and a collective member will contact you if we are able to help you out. Please do not reply to that response as nobody will be able to read it - you will be talking to a machine in cyberspace!!
Send us a demo ONLY AFTER YOU'VE GOTTEN A RESPONSE TO THE EMAIL YOU SENT IN STEP 1!!! IF YOU SEND IT WILLY NILLY TO US WITHOUT SAYING WHO SHOULD RECEIVE IT, IT'LL JUST GET LOST IN THE SHUFFLE. SERIOUSLY, DON'T BOTHER SENDING US UNSOLICITED DEMOS. When you do send it, you should include a "c/o" line with the person who asked you to send it to them, and also it would help to say a few descriptive words about your band on the envelope, you can send it to us at:

Include on/with the cd your contact info, the date you want to play (or dates available), and a general genre description. Also include some lyrics. Please DO NOT send press packs (we don't need to see your 8"x10" glossy, we don't care what you look like).
Give a week or so for the demo to arrive.
A collective member should contact you when your demo has arrived. TESTING
